Greenville Water received The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) 2020 Sustainable Water Utility Management award.
AMWA management awards recognize the exceptional performance of public drinking water utilities where management vision and employee commitment create sustainable utilities producing ample supplies of clean, safe drinking water. The Sustainable Water Utility Management Award spotlights efforts of water utilities implementing long-term and innovative economic, environmental and social endeavors.
“Sustainability is at the core of every decision made at Greenville Water,” said David Bereskin, Greenville Water CEO. “Sustainable operations are essential to the management and coordination of our environmental efforts, and our social and financial accountabilities to ensure the ongoing success of our community.”
Greenville Water received the Platinum Award for Utility Excellence in 2017 and the Gold Award for Utility Performance in 2014. These awards honor outstanding achievement in implementing the industry standard Attributes of Effective Utility Management.
