September 1: New Contribution In Aid of Construction Fees

During the Greenville Water Commission meeting on July 7, 2015 changes to the assessment of Contribution Fees were adopted. Officially referred to as a Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIA) Fee, the purpose is to help pay for the expense of extending water mains in the Greenville Water service area. These changes eliminated a confusing assessment method to ease the process for Developers and Greenville Water staff.

Effective September 1, 2015, Contribution Fees will be determined by the size of the tap and will apply to all districts. Contribution fees also apply to private fire protection systems. Contribution fees are collected everywhere except within a subdivision.
