Notice of Public Meeting: St. Francis Area Main Replacement Project

Greenville Water is planning to replace aging distribution mains in the St. Francis area that have reached or exceeded their useful life. To provide the community with a clear understanding of the project, Greenville Water will host a Public Meeting on May 6, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Greenville Water Community Room.

This meeting will follow the conclusion of regular business at the Greenville Water Commission Meeting, also scheduled for May 6. During the session, Greenville Water staff—along with representatives from Michael Baker International—will present detailed information about the proposed St. Francis Area Main Replacement Project.

The discussion will include: the need for the project, alternatives that have been evaluated, the rationale behind the selected approach, and the environmental and financial impacts of the proposed solution.

This project may be partially funded through the South Carolina Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The presentation will reference findings from the project’s Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and Basis of Design Review (BODR) to provide a comprehensive overview.

Greenville Water invites the public to attend and learn more about the project’s goals, impacts, and benefits to the community.
