Phillip A. Kilgore elected Chairman of the Greenville Water Commission

GREENVILLE, SC – At today’s regularly scheduled meeting of the Greenville Water Commission of Public Works, current Chairman PhillipKilgore72-2003Deb Sofield nominated Vice-Chairman Phillip A. Kilgore to become Chairman of the Commission and James W. Bannister to be Vice-Chairman.  In a unanimous vote, the Commission approved the nomination.  Commissioner Kilgore will be taking over as Chairman from Commissioner Sofield, who held the Chair for four years.

 

“In my role as Chairman, I will work to ensure that Greenville Water continues to provide exceptional customer service and deliver high quality drinking water to provide for a sustainable future,” stated newly elected Chairman Kilgore.  “In addition, I want to thank Commissioner Sofield for her excellent leadership, and her hard work and dedication during her four year tenure as our Chair.”

 

Chairman Kilgore is an attorney with Ogletree Deakins Law Firm practicing labor and employment law since 1986 and has served on the Greenville Water Commission for ten years.  He volunteers his time and efforts in leadership roles in several civic organizations, and is currently serving as President of the Executive Board of the Blue Ridge Council Boy Scouts of America and Vice Chair of Public Policy for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.
