There When You Need It — High-Quality Water, Critical Infrastructure and Water Professionals

Greenville Water is always, there when you need us!

This week’s Drinking Water Week offers our community an opportunity to recognize our hardworking team members performing various roles ensuring tap water is “There When You Need It.”

Greenville Water and partners throughout North America are observing Drinking Water Week by recognizing the vital role tap water plays in daily life, the infrastructure that is required to carry it to and from homes and businesses, and the important work of water professionals “behind the scenes”.

Whether it’s an engineer designing a capital project, an operator ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water or a member of a pipe crew maintaining the infrastructure in our community, water professionals work around the clock to ensure tap water is there when you need it.

“Many communities are fortunate to have reliable access to safe water when they turn on the tap. In large part this stems from the regular testing water utilities are required to undertake to ensure regulatory standards for water quality are met,” said Greenville Water CEO David Bereskin. “In fact, each year, the team at Greenville Water works diligently to protect our watersheds, ensure our treatment practices are highly effective, and provide our customers, with safe drinking water. We proudly publish a yearly Consumer Confidence Report detailing our water treatment practices that not only meet SCDHEC and EPA regulations and guidelines, but exceed them.”
