False Water Testing Claims Reported Across the Upstate
Greenville Water has been made aware of individuals going door-to-door throughout the Upstate, falsely claiming that high levels of contaminants have been found in customers’ water. They are using these FALSE CLAIMS to request access to homes to “test” the water. Law enforcement has been notified.
If you encounter these individuals, do not provide personal information and do not allow them into your home.
Please know that Greenville Water takes your safety seriously. If our teams are on a project in your area, they will be in uniform, with a clearly identifiable badge. In these instances, you can always call our customer service line to verify their presence.
