Greenville Water Remembers Cesar Pena
Cesar Humberto Peña Franco
August 8, 1985 – August 21, 2025
Greenville Water is a family, and together we mourn the heartbreaking loss of our close friend and teammate, Cesar Pena.
Cesar was more than a valued four-year member of Greenville Water—he was a bright light in our organization. With seven years of prior experience, Cesar quickly became known as a talented and trusted locator. His skill and dedication to his work earned the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege of working alongside him. But what stood out most about Cesar was not just the job he did—it was the man he was.
Cesar was, above all else, a family man. A devoted husband, a proud and loving father of three, a cherished son and brother, and a friend who gave freely of his time and kindness. His smile, his warmth, and his steady presence brought comfort and encouragement to those around him.
On Thursday, August 21, 2025, Cesar’s life was tragically cut short, leaving a void that cannot be filled. Yet, even in our grief, we take solace in the legacy he leaves behind: a legacy of love, friendship, and quiet strength. He showed us what it means to live with compassion, to work with integrity, and to care deeply for others.
Cesar will forever remain a part of Greenville Water’s story, not only in the work he accomplished, but in the way he made us all better—both as colleagues and as people.
Together we will grieve.
Together we will honor him.
Together we will keep his memory alive in our hearts and in the work we carry forward.
Rest easy, Cesar
