Greenville Water, in partnership with the SC Forestry Commission (our burn boss for the day), is participating in a controlled burn within the North Saluda Watershed the morning of Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
Controlled burning is a measure used to protect our forests, water sources and nearby communities. Please do not be alarmed if you see smoke near our North Saluda Watershed during our burn. We have notified community members and nearby fire departments of our upcoming activity.
Visit greenvillewater.com/controlled-burning/ to learn more about our burn program and how we partner with The Nature Conservancy of South Carolina on training to effectively and safely create controlled fire.
