Greenville Water's Craig Dalton wins first place at the American Water Works Association National Meter Challenge
On Monday, June 9, in Denver, Colorado, Greenville Water’s Craig Dalton brought home a national title and broke a competition record at the American Water Works Association (AWWA) National Meter Challenge—a fast paced competition where contestants assemble a water meter from a bucket of parts.
Dalton, a field services specialist, secured his place to represent South Carolina on the national stage after winning the state championship in March, defeating the reigning champion. At the national competition, he faced off against more than 30 top contenders from across the country in the high-stakes, fast-paced meter assembly event.
Dalton's winning time of 28.09 seconds secured him first place and set the fastest recorded time in competition history for modern mechanical meters.
Congratulations Craig!
