Greenville Water Announces Hiring of New IT Director

Billy Cooper joins the Greenville Water team

Greenville Water is pleased to announce that Billy Cooper has joined the organization as the new Director of Information Technology (IT). Cooper will be responsible for the continuous process improvement of Greenville Water’s IT infrastructure, security and capabilities through strategic alignment and governance.

He will also focus on building a comprehensive security monitoring portfolio that measures IT risks, threats and responses.

“We are excited to welcome Billy to our team at Greenville Water,” said David Bereskin, Greenville Water Chief Executive Officer. “His skillset spans all areas of IT, from design and development of integrated platforms to global implementation and integration of enterprise architecture strategies.”

Cooper brings more than 25 years of experience to the team at Greenville Water. In his previous roles with ScanSource and Lockheed Martin he has managed multi-million-dollar SAP implementation projects and developed databases for several web applications. He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Clemson University and his Master of Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

“Greenville Water has a solid reputation for being a leader in the industry, and I am proud to join such a strong and resilient team,” said Cooper. “I look forward to ushering in a new era of information and security excellence.”

Cooper is married with three children and is proud to have called Greenville his home for the past 23 years.
