Fire Hydrant Unauthorized Usage
Unauthorized use of fire hydrants, including personal use, can cause water contamination, breaks, and leaks.
All public entities and individuals must be granted permission by Greenville Water to use fire hydrants. Authorized fire hydrant users should clearly display an up-to-date sticker provided by Greenville Water. Failure to comply will result in unauthorized usage fees.
If you suspect unauthorized hydrant use, please call the Greenville Water Engineering Department at (864) 241-6100 and/or send photos documenting the person(s), hydrant, equipment, and license plate of the vehicle to bfp@greenvillewater.com.
