Community Sponsorship
Greenville Water is a not-for-profit water utility dedicated to delivering high-quality water and ensuring a sustainable future for more than 750,000 residents across Greenville County and parts of Anderson, Pickens, and Laurens counties.
Through its Commission, Greenville Water distributes community contributions through direct funding and volunteerism. Greenville Water actively supports community events that have a positive impact on the quality of life in the Greenville Water service area.
Greenville Water supports partnerships that reflect our mission of Quality Water for a Sustainable Future Our approach to sponsorships is focused on creating meaningful community impact while building strong, lasting relationships.
We prioritize opportunities that:
- Deliver measurable, long-term impact in environmental awareness, conservation, water education, and STEM learning
- Strengthen connections with local organizations and the communities we serve
- Provide positive visibility for Greenville Water through community engagement
- Create opportunities to educate young people about water resources and the environment
At the core of our sponsorship strategy are four key focus areas:
Environmental Education & Literacy
We support initiatives that deepen public understanding of drinking water, watershed protection, infrastructure, and native ecosystems. Programs that advance science, STEM, and environmental education for youth and the broader community are a strong fit.
Environmental Stewardship
We prioritize partnerships with organizations and initiatives actively working to protect and sustain natural resources. This includes efforts focused on conservation, land and forest management, biodiversity protection, and projects that strengthen local water quality and resilience.
Public Health & Wellness
Clean water is essential to a healthy community. We support initiatives that promote hydration, active lifestyles, and heat safety, as well as programs that provide assistance during emergencies. Opportunities that encourage choosing water over sugary beverages are especially valuable.
Workforce & Industry Pipeline
We invest in the future of the water industry by supporting programs that introduce students and young professionals to careers in water. This includes trades, engineering, environmental science, and operations, with a focus on aligning to regional workforce development needs.
